MEETINGS WITH CLIENTS

I like to use e-mail to communicate with my clients.

This technology is a big improvement over the way lawyers and clients communicated back in the 20th century; we can work 24/7/365, exchange documents, a written record is automatically created, so no time is wasted writing down what was said, and of course, no telephone tag.

Some people have an emotional need to have a lot of face-to-face meetings with their lawyers; these people would be better advised to meet instead with a therapist, someone who is trained to help them get through this difficult time in their lives -- and therapists charge a lot less per hour than lawyers do. (See my "get some help" page.)

If you are not comfortable using e-mail, I am probably not the right lawyer for you.

But sometimes meetings are necessary.

I like to schedule meetings at times and places that are convenient for both me and my clients. Lunch meetings are especially good for my clients because I don't charge for that time.

Here are two places I meet clients:

King County cases:

  King County Law Library
  6th floor, King County Courthouse
  516 3rd Avenue
  Seattle, WA 98104

Snohomish County cases:

  Inglewood Golf Club
  6505 Inglewood Road NE
  Kenmore, WA 98028

From 68th Ave NE in Kenmore (at the North end of Lake Washington), turn West at the traffic light where 68th Ave intersects NE 170th St. The green area on the map is the Inglewood golf course; meet me at the IGC clubhouse, the big building in the little circle in Inglewood Road NE -- you can't miss it!

--to get to Inglewood from I-5:

Northbound or Southbound on I-5:

Take the Lake Forest Park exit (number 177).  At the end of the ramp, head east on Ballinger Way, and continue for 2.7 miles.  Turn left onto Bothell Way.  Follow Bothell Way for 1.3 miles and turn right on 68th Ave. NE.  Drive ½ mile.  Turn right at the second light (Inglewood Road).  Follow road for 3/10 mile to the Clubhouse.  Park in the parking lot on your left as you're driving in. Walk along the driveway to the entrance to the Clubhouse (look for the canopy over the driveway).  Ask for me at the office on your right as you walk in.

--to get to Inglewood from I-405:

Northbound:

While heading northbound on I-405, take the 116th Street exit (number 20A).  At the end of the ramp, head west (left) onto 116th and continue for 1.5 miles.  Proceed slightly to the right through the traffic light intersection (which becomes Juanita Drive NE).  Continue 5.3 miles to the light at Inglewood Road.  Turn left and proceed for 3/10 mile to the Clubhouse.  Park in the parking lot on your left as you're driving in. Walk along the driveway to the entrance to the Clubhouse (look for the canopy over the driveway).  Ask for me at the office on your right as you walk in.

Southbound:

While heading southbound on I-405, take the Bothell exit (Hwy 522).  Head west on Bothell Way.  Take a left at 68th Ave and take a right at the second light (Inglewood Road).  Proceed for 3/10 mile to the Clubhouse.  Park in the parking lot on your left as you're driving in. Walk along the driveway to the entrance to the Clubhouse (look for the canopy over the driveway).  Ask for me at the office on your right as you walk in.

When you need to deliver something to me, use the Northgate UPS Store, which is professionally staffed during regular business hours, Mon-Sat:

mailing address, secure deliveries, and service of process address:

  Joshua Foreman

  Foreman Law Firm
  9594 1st Ave NE PMB 504
  Seattle, WA 98115-2012

I accept service of process by e-mail PDF attachment (e-process) from attorneys who accept e-process from me. I do not accept e-process from anybody else.

I have a state-of-the-art office, including two independent computer systems, in the basement of my home; this is very convenient for me, because a high-conflict litigator like me needs to be able to work around the clock, 24/7/365  -- but I don't meet clients or accept litigation-related deliveries there.
