HOW CAN YOU DECIDE WHO IS

THE RIGHT LAWYER FOR YOU?

I started representing dads in child custody fights in 1992.

I won custody of two little girls for a working dad versus a stay-at-home mom. The DADS of Washington organization found out, and started referring their members to me; ever since then, fathers custody fights and defense against false accusations of domestic violence have been most of what I do for a living, although I'm also available to represent grandparents, moms, and others.

Attorneys have to go back to school in order to keep their licenses; this is called Continuing Legal Education (CLE).

I am a regular CLE speaker about fathers custody fights, including:  "How to Win Custody for Dad" (WSFLBA CLE), I represented Dad in a Child Relocation Act mock trial at a King County Bar Association CLE (I won), and I've spoken about how to quickly and effectively defend against false accusations of domestic violence in child custody fights -- three times so far (King, Snohomish, and Clark County Bar Associations Family Law Sections). I've also presented a CLE on how to defend against Orders of Protection (Domestic Violence), and will speak in 2012 about how to win a child custody fight.

My AVVO rating is 10.0 (the maximum).

It's been more than 15 years since I started specializing in representing dads, and now some other lawyers are advertising themselves in the yellow pages as experts in representing dads, especially one big firm that s[ends a lot of the money clients pay them on advertising. Ask them how many times they have been CLE speakers and how they're rated by AVVO!

My degrees:
B.S. (w/honors), California Institute of Technology (Pasadena, CA)
A.M., Harvard University (Cambridge, MA)
J.D., University of Washington School of Law (Seattle, WA)

I am admitted to practice in all Washington State Courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington.

I like to work on a flat fee basis, so you know your costs up front. When I work by the hour, I charge $250/hour (6-minute increments) plus costs.

You can pay me with your Visa card, MasterCard, other credit cards or debit by using PayPal; see my "Visa MasterCard PayPal" page.

I do free initial consultations by e-mail. I like to use e-mail to communicate and exchange documents, so if you aren't comfortable using e-mail, I'm probably not the right lawyer for you.

Before you send me an e-mail, be sure to read my "how NOT to e-mail me" page!

I also have a clients-only toll-free fax number because I represent a lot of clients who do not live in Washington State, but have legal business here.
